ASEKOL is a partner in a project focused on the re-use of small electrical appliances, launched through cooperation between the Centre for Second Chance Items in Třebíč and ESKO-T. This project is a clear example of how the life cycle of electrical equipment can be extended in practice.
From 1 September 2025, the centre offered small functional electrical appliances for sale. All items were professionally tested by a qualified electrician before being put on sale. From 1 September 2025 to 31 December 2025, a total of 121 small electrical items were sold in this way, including hair dryers, kitchen appliances, irons, radios and electric alarm clocks. All appliances met the safety requirements for operation and were fully functional.
The re-use of this equipment helps reduce the volume of e-waste, promotes more efficient use of resources, and puts the principles of the circular economy into practice. At the same time, the project combines environmental benefits with a social dimension - the funds raised from the sale of electrical appliances and other items are used to support the Shelter for Abandoned Animals in Třebíč.
ASEKOL has long supported activities that promote the responsible management of electrical equipment and seek meaningful ways of re-using it. Cooperation on this specific project is an example of a functional partnership that delivers tangible results in terms of both sustainability and regional cooperation.
