Let us recall the exceptional evening when ASEKOL marked the 20th anniversary of its operations by honoring the winners of the Active Region and Active Municipality competitions. The festive gathering commemorated an important milestone and expressed appreciation to the partners who have long contributed to building and developing the take-back system for electrical and electronic equipment in the Czech Republic.
The program included the announcement of the winners of the Active Region and Active Municipality competitions. These awards recognize not only the responsible approach of regions and municipalities to the collection and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), but also their educational and awareness-raising activities that help increase public understanding of the proper handling of end-of-life electrical equipment.
The highlight of the evening was a charity auction of an original artwork made from recycled materials, specially created for the occasion by artist Matyáš Chochola. The auction raised CZK 150,000, and the entire amount was donated to support our partner organization, the Czech National Disability Council (NRZP CR), with whom we have been cooperating for more than 10 years. We greatly value their work and are proud to be part of joint initiatives supporting the employment of persons with disabilities through sheltered workshops.
We would like to thank all guests, partners, and supporters for their long-term contribution to the collection and recycling of electrical waste in the Czech Republic.

The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic, the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic, the Association of Local Authorities of the Czech Republic, and the Czech National Disability Council (NRZP CR). We sincerely appreciate their support and trust.
