In 2025, we facilitated the recycling of 71,200 tonnes of end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment, thereby making a significant collective contribution to environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources. Each year, we prepare an Environmental Report and, based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analysis, we are able to quantify the specific environmental benefits of the take-back and subsequent recycling of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
Key environmental benefits of recycling in 2025
Translating this volume of processed WEEE into concrete environmental savings, we achieved:
For example, the electricity savings of 292,070 MWh correspond approximately to the annual consumption of 100,000 households. Avoiding 300,914 tonnes of CO₂ emissions is roughly equivalent to the annual emissions generated by more than 130,000 passenger cars.
Every properly sorted electrical appliance therefore contributes to measurable energy savings, reduced emissions and the protection of natural resources. We would like to thank all citizens, clients and partners who actively participate in the WEEE take-back system.
