ASEKOL has been operating on the Slovak market since 2010 as the compliance scheme ASEKOL SK s.r.o., founded by the companies FAST PLUS s.r.o., MASCOM s.r.o. and ASEKOL s.r.o. It is entered in the Register of Compliance Organisations for Electrical or Electronic Equipment maintained by the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic under the number KOVEZ 14 and in the Register of Compliance Organisations for Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries maintained by the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic under the number KOBAT 05.
ASEKOL SK is today the largest compliance scheme by producer market share for batteries and rechargeable batteries and the second-largest for electrical and electronic equipment. It stands in the first position in the categories of consumer electronics and information technology.
By decision of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, ASEKOL SK is entitled to handle electrical and electronic equipment and e-waste in all of categories 1–10 under Annex 1 to Decree No. 315/2010 Coll., on the handling of electrical and electronic equipment and waste electrical and electronic equipment and also handling used batteries and rechargeable batteries.
