Recycling fees
A recycling fee (contribution), i.e. a financial amount contributed by the individual producers to the collective scheme, serves as a contribution to financing of collection, transport and processing of historical electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). The amount of the fee corresponds to the current financial and technological requirements resulting from the process of collection and recycling of the given EEE and is visibly displayed in the sale of new products. Simultaneously, it is published at all points of sale and websites of the producers, collective schemes and the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic.
There are two types of fee:
PHE – visible fee: this is a contribution to disposal of historical EEE (manufactured before August 13, 2005), which must be stated by the final dealer on the price tag of the product or on the document issued upon sale of new products (receipt). This amount is paid by the consumer upon purchase.
From the viewpoint of the law, this is not a duty; nevertheless, this is one of the basic principles of the ASEKOL collective scheme, which provides for equal conditions of competition for all producers. The purpose of the visible fee is to inform the buyers about the costs of collection, sorting, recycling and disposal of EEE.
A methodical form of an invoice and other tax documents with specification of the fee for historical EEE and an example of an invoice including specification of the fee for historical EEE can be downloaded HERE (xls, 34 kB).
PNE: a fee for disposal of new EEE (manufactured after August 13, 2005). This fee is paid directly by the producer or importer of EEE. Its amount is usually half the amount of PHE.
System fee is a lump sum amount per calendar year, which is part of the tariff of recycling fees. It serves for payment of the administrative costs connected with client services (correspondence, administration of the website, training of clients, preparation of the annual report, etc.).
Other methods of stating PHE
This applies only to clients who put EEE on the market and are simultaneously its final dealers. For more information please contact our customer department.
