Duties of producers
- Register in the List of Producers of EEE (the List is kept by the MoE of the Czech Republic; registration can be made through the ASEKOL collective scheme)
- Perform duties connected with putting EEE on the market - manufacture products so as to facilitate their dismantling and recovery - prevent a content of heavy metals, polybrominated biphenyls and diphenyl ethers in products - provide for labeling of products
- Ensure and finance taking back of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) from private households
- Ensure and partly also finance separate collection of WEEE from companies and entrepreneurs
- Provide for quotas for recovery of WEEE
- Label EEE
- Inform the consumers, dealers and processors
- Draw up an annual report on the performance of duties and send it to the Ministry of the Environment by March 31 of each year
The ASEKOL collective scheme provides for the performance of all duties, other than the duties connected with putting EEE on the market, on behalf of the producers, within collective performance.
