Categories of EEE

For the purpose of compliance with the conditions of the Act, products are classified in individual categories, according to the purpose of their use:

1. Large household appliances
    (Refrigerators, washing machines, clothes dryers …)
2. Small household appliances
    (Vacuum cleaners, irons, mixers, fryers …)
3. IT and telecommunications equipment
    (Computers, laptop computers, telephones, cellular telephones …)
4. Consumer equipment
    (Video equipment, audio equipment, musical instruments …)
5. Lighting equipment
    (Light bulbs, fluorescent lamps, discharge lamps …)
6. Electrical and electronic tools (with the exception of large-scale stationary industrial tools)
    (Drills, saws, garden equipment …)
7. Toys, leisure and sports equipment
    (Electric trains, cars, sports computers …)
8. Medical devices (with the exception of all implanted and infected products)
    (All medical devices other than implants …)
9. Monitoring and control instruments
    (Detectors, thermostats, laboratory equipment …)
10. Automatic dispensers
     (Automatic dispensers for drinks, money …)

ASEKOL provides for performance of duties in the following categories:

Category 3 IT and telecommunications equipment
Category 4 Consumer equipment
Category 7 Toys, leisure and sports equipment Category
Cathegory 8 Medical devices (with the exception of all implanted and infected products) – only new EEE (manufactured after August 13, 2005)
Category 9 Monitoring and control devices - only new EEE (manufactured after August 13, 2005)
Category 10 Automatic dispensers - only new EEE (manufactured after August 13, 2005)

EEE in categories 1, 2 and 6 is taken back by Elektrowin, and equipment in Category 5 by Ekolamp.
