General information
The Asekol collective scheme announces tender procedures for treatment operators in two-year cycles. The goal is to select high-quality and economically effective treatment operators who will cover the entire territory of the Czech Republic in a balanced way.
Emphasis in the selection of treatment operators is placed, in addition to the price offer, to the choice of the best available technologies. Attainment of a high degree of recycling of recoverable materials from processing of taken-back and separately collected EEE constitutes a basic precondition for compliance with the limits required by the Waste Act.
Another important aspect in the selection of treatment operators lies in employment of citizens who have difficulties finding employment (sheltered workshops). Almost half of the contractual treatment operators of ASEKOL consists in sheltered workshops, which employ workers with altered working capacity.
In cooperation with the treatment operators, ASEKOL has established working groups. The groups deal with the issue of recovery of monitor glass. In the framework of the activities of the working groups, the treatment operators also participate in the preparation of a methodology for binding procedures in treatment of EEE.
