Stationary containers
The project of stationary containers for collection of minor electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) was initiated by the ASEKOL collective scheme during the year 2007. 5 containers were installed in the summer of 2007 in small municipalities with up to 1000 inhabitants in the Central-Bohemian Region. Based on the success of this pilot project, further 5 containers were installed in November 2007 in the statutory city of Kladno. Given the fact that, also in this city, collection in stationary containers on streets proved successful, the ASEKOL collective scheme resolved to install these containers in other cities during 2008.
Containers are currently installed in the following cities and towns:
| Blansko | 5 |
| České Budějovice | 20 |
| Karlovy Vary | 10 |
| Kladno | 8 |
| Kralupy nad Vltavou | 10 |
| Nové Město na Moravě | 5 |
| Olomouc | 20 |
| Písek | 6 |
| Praha | 1 |
| Roudnice nad Labem | 2 |
| ®atec | 5 |

In total there are installed 92 stationary containers in Czech republic, which helped to gather 50 t of minor electric and electronic equipment for recycling process untill the end of January 2010. We plan to significantly increase the number of containers in the streets of Czech towns and municipalities during this year.
Stationary containers help people return old appliances closer to the place of their residence. Citizens thus need not transport minor electrical appliances to a waste collection yard and are able to easily throw them in the prepared containers at any time. The containers are mostly located close to the already-established separation stands for separated waste. Stationary containers are intended for minor EEE, such as, e.g., calculators, radios, minor computer equipment, discmans, telephones, etc. On the contrary, TV sets, computer monitors, fluorescent lamps, energy-saving light bulbs and batteries do not belong there.
Stationary containers equipped with box for separate collection of baterries are an innovation, which can be used by the citizens from České Budějovice and Roudnice nad Labem.
