General information

The ASEKOL fund was established to support publicly beneficial projects aimed at increasing the effectiveness of collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The mission and purpose of the Fund is to provide financial or material support to non-profit and publicly beneficial projects related to taking back and recycling electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) as well as increasing the overall effectiveness of the system of taking back EEE.

Support can be provided in the form of a donation or long-term lease.

An application for a contribution may be submitted by municipalities, associations of municipalities, regions and also NGOs and operators of waste collection yards.

Decisions on the selection of projects are made by the Council of the ASEKOL Fund, which is composed, for example, of the representatives of the Federation of Cities and Towns, Association of Publicly Beneficial Services and producers.

Announced programs:

  • Intensity Program (creation of or increase in the number of collection sites in the specific area and, if appropriate, also improvement of their accessibility)
  • Reconstruction Program (it is aimed at the quality of collection sites from the viewpoint of increasing their capacity, their reconstruction or improvement of their equipment)
  • Awareness Program (it is aimed at education and awareness raising in the area of taking back and recycling EEE)
  • Research Program (support to research and development of technologies including practical application in the area of logistics, take-back and recycling of EEE).
